US 95 lanes at Decatur closed after 6-car pileup

Updated September 11, 2017 - 4:19 pm

A woman was hospitalized in critical condition Monday after a multicar pileup on U.S. Highway 95 in central Las Vegas.

The crash, which involved at least six vehicles, shut down southbound travel lanes near the Decatur Boulevard exit for hours. At one point, all southbound lanes were blocked.

The crash was reported to the Highway Patrol about 1:20 p.m., and one woman was taken to University Medical Center’s trauma unit in critical condition, Stuenkel said.

The Nevada Transportation Department tweeted about 6:15 p.m. that the crash site was cleared and the lanes had reopened.
