Washington woman, 68, killed in Thursday crash in northwest Las Vegas

A woman was killed in a fatal crash Thursday afternoon in the northwest valley.

The crash happened just after 2:15 p.m. Thursday on 8000 block of West Tropical Parkway, near North Butler Street, Las Vegas police said. A Freightliner box truck traveling west on Tropical Parkway struck a Lexus LS400 that was turning left onto Tropical Parkway from a private drive. A Toyota Corolla eastbound on Tropical Parkway was hit by the Lexus.

The driver of the Lexus, a 68-year-old woman from Washington, was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. The other drivers had minor injuries.

The deceased will be identified by the Clark County coroner’s office once their family has been notified.

This crash remains under investigation.
