Washington woman killed in northwest Las Vegas crash identified

The woman who died after a three-vehicle crash Thursday has been identified by the Clark County Coroner’s Office.

Diane Goldsmith, 68, was pronounced dead at the scene after a three-car collison in the northwest Las Vegas Valley.

Around 2:20 p.m. a Freightliner box truck was traveling west on Tropical Parkway, east of North Butler Street. Goldsmith, driver of the Lexus LS400 was turning left to eastbound Tropical Parkway from a private drive located on the north side of the roadway. A Toyota Corolla was travelling east on Tropical Parkway and was approaching the private drive, according to Las Vegas police.

Goldsmith turned left across the path of the Freightnliner and was impacted on the left side by the front of the truck. Both vehicles were redirected to the southwest from the collision and the left front of the Toyota was impacted by the right front of the Lexus. The vehicles came to rest in the eastbound lanes of Tropical parkway, police said.

The other drivers remained at the scene with minor injuries.
