Las Vegas police arrested a woman Thursday night after a rollover crash in the southeast valley sent one juvenile to the hospital.
The crash happened at 9:40 p.m. at the intersection of Boulder Highway and Tropicana Avenue and involved two vehicles, Metro Lt. Charles Jenkins said. The woman faces a drunken driving charge, and police said her actions caused the crash.
At the time of the crash, the woman had a young child in her car, who was taken into custody of child protective services after her arrest.
When the crash happened, the woman’s car slammed into another vehicle in the intersection, which caused the other vehicle to roll. A juvenile in that vehicle was taken to the trauma unit at Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center, but was expected to be OK.
Officers shut down the intersection and drivers should avoid the area for a few hours.
