Boil water order lifted in Kyle Canyon

The boil water order in Kyle Canyon has been lifted, according to water district spokesman Bronson Mack.

The order was put in place Monday afternoon after flash flooding damaged about a hundred feet of a water pipeline, Bronson said.

About 100 properties in Mount Charleston’s Rainbow Canyon subdivision were affected. About 20 homes were without water between Monday and Wednesday. All 100 affected properties were offered bottled water during the boil order, Bronson said.

Water district workers began 48-hour quality water testing Wednesday and have concluded that it is up to standards, Bronson said.
