Man who died in south valley crash on Sunday identified

The Clark County coroner’s office has identified the 66-year-old man who died after a crash Sunday in the south valley.

Qingbin Wang, of Las Vegas, was northbound on Bermuda Road, near the Warm Springs Road intersection, in a 2004 Honda Element about 4:20 p.m. when he was struck broadside by a 1999 Dodge Durango going eastbound, Las Vegas police said.

He was taken to a St. Rose hospital where he died. His official cause of death was still pending by the coroner’s office.

Clark County Fire Department assistant fire chief Sandra Baker said someone in one of the vehicles went into cardiac arrest, but it wasn’t clear if it happened before, during or after the crash.

The 26-year-old woman driving the Dodge was taken to University Medical Center with serious injuries, police said.
