Hottest days for July coming this weekend in Las Vegas Valley

The hottest day of the month could hit Las Vegas Valley this weekend, according to the National Weather Service.

Thursday’s high is expected to reach 110 degrees, which would mark the first time temperatures have gone that high this month, meteorologist Chris Outler said. Friday and Saturday are both forecast to have highs of 111 degrees, which would tie them for the hottest days of the month.

“It’s going to be a warm weekend,” he said.

Winds are not expected to be strong Thursday, with breezes between 10 and 15 mph expected in the afternoon and evening, according to the weather service.

Rain is not forecast for the Las Vegas area in the next week.

“The monsoon is taking a break,” Outler said.

Rain is expected in northwest Arizona, he said, which will make some clouds visible in parts of the valley.
