A warm Memorial Day weekend is in store for the Las Vegas Valley.
Wednesday saw a high of 78 degrees. Temperatures begin to warm Thursday, with an expected high of 84 degrees. By Friday, the high is expected to rise to 89 degrees forecast, and by Saturday, the high should reach 90 degrees, the National Weather Service said.
Sunday’s high is expected to be 89 degrees.
By Memorial Day, the high is expected to inch up to 91 degrees, National Weather Service meteorologist John Adair said.
Some showers may occur over the mountains Wednesday and Thursday afternoon, Adair said. The warm weekend only has a slight chance of showers, he said.
Winds are likely to be “light and variable” throughout the rest of the week and during the weekend, Adair said.
