Weekend in Las Vegas Valley will be windy and cool

The Las Vegas Valley is in for a breezy weekend, though milder than the gusty winds that blew through the area Friday, according to the National Weather Service.

Wind advisories were issued for Lake Mead and Lake Mojave but not for the Las Vegas Valley on Friday. Wind speeds were reported about 35 miles per hour at McCarran International Airport Friday afternoon, meteorologist Andy Gorelow said.

Saturday and Sunday will see some light winds about 10 to 15 miles per hour.

Friday saw a high of 55 degrees. Saturday will be slightly warmer with a high of 58 degrees. Temperatures will rise again on Sunday with a high of 60 degrees, Gorelow said.

Lows through the weekend will be in the low 40s.
