FLAG FOOTBALL: Bonds’ three touchdowns help Centennial top Warriors

Talie Bonds had two touchdown receptions and ran for a score Monday to help Centennial’s flag football team to a 20-0 home win over Western.

Bonds caught TD passes of 10 and 8 yards from Zshalyn Canfield. Bonds also had a 10-yard touchdown run for the Bulldogs.

Kianna Sai had two interceptions for Centennial.

Foothill 40, Eldorado 26 — At Eldorado, Sam Fennell completed 26 of 44 passes for 293 yards and four touchdowns to lead the Falcons past the Sundevils.

Emily Russell had 11 catches for 139 yards and three touchdowns, and Rachel Rodriguez caught a touchdown pass and ran for a score for Foothill, which also got a rushing TD from RaeAnn Brems.

Keelyn Pacheco passed for 224 yards and two touchdowns and ran for a score for Eldorado. Kelsey Griffin had 133 receiving yards and a touchdown for the Sundevils.

Desert Oasis 31, Legacy 0 — At Desert Oasis, Kylee Bauer completed 15 of 23 passes for 220 yards and five touchdowns as the Diamondbacks routed the Longhorns.

Kayla Saucedo caught three passes for 67 yards and a score and rushed for 70 yards for Desert Oasis. Sydni Aldan caught two touchdown passes, and Alex Blockovich hauled in one for the Diamondbacks.

Avi’Ana Shelton rushed 15 times for 115 yards, and Klarisah Harris added 88 rushing yards and 82 passing yards for the Longhorns.

Cimarron-Memorial 35, Virgin Valley 12 — At Cimarron, Jaymee Luke threw two touchdowns and rushed for another as the Spartans rolled past the Bulldogs.

Luke ran for 136 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries. She also completed 12 of 23 passes for 105 yards and two touchdowns.

Logan DeLong caught nine passes for 72 yards and a score, and DeShan Cambrit caught a touchdown pass for Cimarron, which got rushing touchdowns from Taylor Hemphill and Tiana Callejo.

Marlene Quirate and Kennedi Ludvigson each had a rushing touchdown for Virgin Valley.

Basic 7, Tech 6 — At Basic, Nicole Mullins rushed for a touchdown in the first half to help the Wolves nip the Roadrunners. Destinie Flores caught the conversion pass after the touchdown for Basic.

Boulder City 19, Coronado 6 — At Coronado, Jeanne Carmell threw two touchdown passes and ran for another score as the Eagles downed the Cougars.

Carmell had a 5-yard TD run, and tossed 10-yard scoring passes to Kinsey Smyth and Mackenzie Pluta.

Carmell also had six tackles, a sack and an interception. Smyth had six catches for 72 yards and intercepted a pass.

Kylie Keyer had 128 receiving yards and a touchdown for Coronado.

Class 4A: Deborah Grant rushes Green Valley to championship

Deborah Grant ran for 189 yards and two touchdowns on 18 carries to twice lead the Gators to a 14-13 victory over Bonanza in the Class 4A state flag football championship game on Monday.

Class 3A: Team effort lifts Del Sol to first state title

Stephanie Tewart tossed two touchdown passes to Janeth Varela to help the Dragons to a 19-6 win over the Bulldogs and the program’s first state title.

Flag Football title games postponed to Monday

The Class 4A and Class 3A state flag football championship games which were scheduled for Thursday and postponed until Friday have again been postponed after the Clark County School District canceled all classes and after-school activities for Friday. The games will be played Monday at Cimarron-Memorial.

Mountain Region: Third time charm for Bonanza against Palo Verde

The Bengals, who’d lost to Palo Verde twice this season, turned the tables on the Panthers in the Mountain Region championship game on Tuesday night. Bonanza got 116 yards rushing and two touchdowns from Charlene Beck to earn a 20-12 victory at Green Valley.

Desert Region: Gators knock off Coronado to claim championship

Deborah Grant rushed 21 times for 80 yards, and Jazlyn Camacho caught the go-ahead touchdown pass in the fourth quarter to help the Gators edge the Cougars, 13-6 for the Desert Region Championship at Green Valley.
