FLAG FOOTBALL: Carmell, Eagles roll past Eldorado

Jeanne Carmell threw three touchdown passes and ran for a score Friday to lead Boulder City’s flag football team to a 33-6 win at Eldorado.

Carmell completed 13 of 23 passes for 131 yards. She tossed two scoring passes to Kinsey Smyth and one to Mackenzie Pluta.

Carmell also rushed for 76 yards and a touchdown on three carries for the Eagles, who also got a touchdown run from Paige Buettner.

Mojave 24, Bonanza 14 — At Bonanza, Michelle Hernandez ran for two touchdowns to lead the Rattlers over the Bengals.

Brianna Guillen also had a touchdown run for Mojave, and Jazmine Oseguera tossed a touchdown pass to Raven Williams.

Marchella Marconi and Brianna Hernandez each had touchdown runs for Bonanza.

Green Valley 21, Basic 8 — At Basic, Adelia Sigala threw two touchdown passes and ran for a score to lead the Gators by the Wolves.

Sigala rushed for 143 yards on 16 carries and completed 12 of 16 passes for 164 yards.

Carolina Velasquez had four catches for 85 yards and two TDs for Green Valley.

Rancho 32, Chaparral 14 — At Rancho, the Rams downed the Cowboys.

Chaparral’s Neshaune Franklin rushed for 110 yards. Toni Meshell and Karina Gomez each had a rushing TD for the Cowboys.

Coronado 25, Tech 14 — At Green Valley, the Cougars topped the Roadrunners.

Tech’s Vanessa Villalobos threw TD passes to Katy Orellano and Avery Rayos.

Centennial 19, Desert Oasis 0 — At Desert Oasis, Ashley Marshall rushed for 73 yards and a touchdown on 10 carries as the Bulldogs blanked the Diamondbacks.

Aliyah Wyrick and Kiana Sai each added a TD run for Centennial.

Clark 26, Western 14 — At Western, the Chargers topped the Warriors.

Deborah Grant ran for 189 yards and two touchdowns on 18 carries to twice lead the Gators to a 14-13 victory over Bonanza in the Class 4A state flag football championship game on Monday.

Class 3A: Team effort lifts Del Sol to first state title

Stephanie Tewart tossed two touchdown passes to Janeth Varela to help the Dragons to a 19-6 win over the Bulldogs and the program’s first state title.

Flag Football title games postponed to Monday

The Class 4A and Class 3A state flag football championship games which were scheduled for Thursday and postponed until Friday have again been postponed after the Clark County School District canceled all classes and after-school activities for Friday. The games will be played Monday at Cimarron-Memorial.

Mountain Region: Third time charm for Bonanza against Palo Verde

The Bengals, who’d lost to Palo Verde twice this season, turned the tables on the Panthers in the Mountain Region championship game on Tuesday night. Bonanza got 116 yards rushing and two touchdowns from Charlene Beck to earn a 20-12 victory at Green Valley.

Desert Region: Gators knock off Coronado to claim championship

Deborah Grant rushed 21 times for 80 yards, and Jazlyn Camacho caught the go-ahead touchdown pass in the fourth quarter to help the Gators edge the Cougars, 13-6 for the Desert Region Championship at Green Valley.
