FLAG FOOTBALL: Williams helps Dragons roll past Sunrise Mountain

Kalijah Williams scored four touchdowns Tuesday to help Del Sol’s flag football team rout visiting Sunrise Mountain, 44-6.

Williams rushed for 158 yards on eight carries, including TD runs of 10 and 59 yards. She also returned two interceptions for touchdowns.

The Dragons racked up 341 rushing yards.

Boulder City 41, Desert Pines 12 — At Boulder City, Jeanne Carmell threw four TD passes and ran for two scores as the Eagles defeated the Jaguars.

Carmell completed 18 of 30 passes for 221 yards, including three scoring passes to Oshanna Remy and one to Tarah Cox.

Carmell also ran for 108 yards and two TDs on eight carries. Remy had seven catches for 102 yards.

Shadow Ridge 12, Cheyenne 0 — At Cheyenne, Victoria Tolle passed for 143 yards and a touchdown and added a rushing touchdown to guide the Mustangs past the Desert Shields.

Samantha Milanovich had 113 receiving yards and a TD reception for Shadow Ridge.

Clark 26, Durango 6 — At Durango, Lauren Marcus and Jasmine Brooks each ran for two touchdowns as the Chargers topped the Trailblazers.

Alexis Villanueva threw a 48-yard TD pass to Claudina Luna for Durango.

Virgin Valley 25, Moapa Valley 6 — At Overton, Dylan Bryant scored two touchdowns as the Bulldogs downed the Pirates.

Markell Ludvigson and Madison Cheney each added a TD for Virgin Valley.

Felicia Perez hauled in a 25-yard TD pass for Moapa Valley.

Canyon Springs 34, Western 0 — At Western, Alyviah Brouchet rushed for 163 yards and two touchdowns on nine carries as the Pioneers blanked the Warriors.

Brouchet scored on runs of 60 and 25 yards.

Destini Cooper ran 58 yards for a score and caught a TD pass from Yareli Trujillo for Canyon Springs. Alexys Lewis also had a 38-yard TD run for the Pioneers.

Chaparral 25, Tech 7 — At Tech, the Cowboys built a 19-0 halftime lead and defeated the Roadrunners.

Katy Orellana had a touchdown run for Tech.

Legacy 19, Mojave 6 — At Legacy, Traonna Hamblett rushed for 147 yards and a touchdown to lead the Longhorns over the Rattlers.

Akia Williams added 66 yards and a touchdown on eight carries, and Nicole White rushed for a score for Legacy.

Liberty 26, Sierra Vista 20 — At Sierra Vista, the Patriots nipped the Mountain Lions in double overtime.

Palo Verde 35, Spring Valley 12 — At Palo Verde, the Panthers defeated the Grizzlies.

Class 4A: Deborah Grant rushes Green Valley to championship

Deborah Grant ran for 189 yards and two touchdowns on 18 carries to twice lead the Gators to a 14-13 victory over Bonanza in the Class 4A state flag football championship game on Monday.

Class 3A: Team effort lifts Del Sol to first state title

Stephanie Tewart tossed two touchdown passes to Janeth Varela to help the Dragons to a 19-6 win over the Bulldogs and the program’s first state title.

Flag Football title games postponed to Monday

The Class 4A and Class 3A state flag football championship games which were scheduled for Thursday and postponed until Friday have again been postponed after the Clark County School District canceled all classes and after-school activities for Friday. The games will be played Monday at Cimarron-Memorial.

Mountain Region: Third time charm for Bonanza against Palo Verde

The Bengals, who’d lost to Palo Verde twice this season, turned the tables on the Panthers in the Mountain Region championship game on Tuesday night. Bonanza got 116 yards rushing and two touchdowns from Charlene Beck to earn a 20-12 victory at Green Valley.

Desert Region: Gators knock off Coronado to claim championship

Deborah Grant rushed 21 times for 80 yards, and Jazlyn Camacho caught the go-ahead touchdown pass in the fourth quarter to help the Gators edge the Cougars, 13-6 for the Desert Region Championship at Green Valley.
