The Aggies will look to conclude an undefeated run through the Northwest League in this battle of double-wing offenses.

BOYS SOCCER

Tuesday — Mountain and Desert Region first round at host sites, 3 p.m.

The Class 4A postseason gets underway, and this year there will be a different region champion than last year. Coronado and Bishop Gorman won the Sunrise and Sunset titles last year, but are part of the new Desert Region this year in which they will be favorites. Watch for Palo Verde, Cimarron-Memorial, Bonanza, Las Vegas and plenty of others in the Mountain Region.

GIRLS SOCCER

Tuesday — Mountain and Desert Region first round at host sites, 3 p.m.

Just like the boys, a new region champ will be crowned. Gorman and Green Valley won last year, but are in the Desert Region together. This season Gorman and Coronado will be the teams to watch n the Desert Region. Faith Lutheran and Centennial separated themselves in the Mountain Region, but Shadow Ridge, Arbor View or Palo Verde could disrupt that.

GIRLS VOLLEYBALL

Tuesday — Shadow Ridge at Palo Verde, 6 p.m.

The Panthers put their undefeated Mountain League record on the line against the defending Class 4A state champs.

Wednesday — Coronado at Desert Oasis, 6 p.m.

The Cougars and Diamondbacks begin the week with identical 8-2 records, and the winner should end up with the Desert League’s No. 3 playoff seed.
