ROUNDUP: Meyers, Skyhawks use four-run seventh to clinch Lions Tourney victory

Michael Meyers went 3-for-5 with a triple and four RBIs to power Silverado’s baseball team to a 10-4 victory over Bullard (Calif.) on Thursday to cap the Lions Tournament with a 2-2 record at Rancho Bernardo High in San Diego.

Bryan Faucher was 3-for-4 with a a double, a solo home run, three runs scored and earned a save for the Skyhawks, who scored four runs in the top of the seventh inning to pull away.

Josh Bravin and Marty Sifuentes doubled for Silverado, which pounded out 13 hits.

Green Valley 6, Grossmont (Calif.) 3 — At San Diego, Evan Van Hoosier picked up the save and went 2-for-2 with two RBIs as the Gators downed the Foothillers at Madison High to wrap the Lions Tournament with a 1-3 record.

Green Valley pitcher Guy Visconti got the win, and teammate Alec Hutt drove in two runs.
