2016-17 Centennial Boys Basketball Capsule Preview

Head coach: Noah Hartsock, first season

2015-16 record: 24-4 (8-0 Northwest, first)

Returning lettermen (starters): Seven (three)

Top players: F/G Troy Brown (Sr.), G Isaiah Banks (Sr.), F/C Darian Scott (Sr.)

Outlook: Brown, an Oregon commit and a first-team all-state selection last season, averaged 19.0 points, 9.5 rebounds and 6.3 assists per game last year.

Brown, Banks, and Scott are expected to be the leaders on a team that welcomes back seven lettermen.

“Centennial looks to compete at a high level this year at a fast pace offensively and defensively,” Hartsock said. “The team looks to make some noise come playoff time. Look for some younger players to step up and help contribute to the team’s success.”
