BOYS BASKETBALL: Brooks brothers lead Mountain View to OT win

Terrence Brooks scored 36 points on Friday to lead Mountain View’s boys basketball team to a 68-64 overtime win over visiting Moapa Valley.

Tyrell Brooks added 16 points for the Saints, who outscored the Pirates 11-7 in overtime. Tyrell Brooks hit a 3-pointer with about 30 seconds left in overtime to put Mountain View up 66-64.

Nathaniel Thompson led Moapa Valley with 18 points. Chase Kruse added 15 points, and Try Jones scored 12 for the Pirates.

Boulder City 38, Sunrise Mountain 30 — At Boulder City, Clayton Pendleton scored 12 points as the Eagles defeated the Miners.

Trevor White led Sunrise Mountain with nine points.

Calvary Chapel 71, Lincoln County 53 — At Calvary Chapel, Alec Neider scored 23 points to lead the Lions past the Lynx.

Elijah Martinez had 15 points, Dylan Sims scored 14, and Arron Abay added 11 points for Calvary Chapel, which connected on 13 3-pointers.

Brady Lawrence scored 16 points to lead Lincoln County, which never recovered after falling behind 20-10 in the first quarter.

Lake Mead 62, Laughlin 43 — At Laughlin, Shay Rutledge had 21 points to lead the Eagles over the Cougars.

Kaiaokumulani Madela added 13 points for Lake Mead.

Laughlin’s Jermarion Hickman led all scorers with 24 points.

Indian Springs 42, Beaver Dam 38 — At Indian Springs, Dallin Davis had 18 points to lead the Thunderbirds over the Diamondbacks.

Nino Alvarez added nine points for Indian Springs.
