BOYS BASKETBALL: Logan powers Bengals past Basic

Jamal Logan had 29 points, and Bonanza's boys basketball team rallied for a 69-60 road victory over Basic on Friday.

The Bengals outscored the Wolves 28-11 in the third quarter to take a 54-43 lead.

Davian Jordan added 19 points for the Bengals.

Christopher Dominguez led Basic with 16 points, and Mattew Esplin added 13 points for the Wolves.

Bishop Gorman 79, Coronado 57 — At Coronado, Charles O'Bannon scored 27 points as the Gaels defeated the Cougars.

Zach Collins added 15 points, and Christian Popoola scored 13 for Gorman, which outscored Coronado 18-4 in the second quarter to take control.

Kennedy Kohler led the Cougars with 22 points and 13 rebounds. Jake DesJardins added 19 points and 13 rebounds for Coronado.

Canyon Springs 58, Arbor View 40 — At Arbor View, Kevin Legardy had 14 points and the Pioneers outscored the Aggies 18-4 in the third quarter en route to the win.

Elbert Bibbs added 10 points for Canyon Springs, which trailed 22-20 at the half.

Jesse Vogel led Arbor View with 13 points, and teammate Jarrod Burks scored 11.

Faith Lutheran 81, Bellarmine-Jefferson (Calif.) 56 — At Gilbert, Ariz., Elijah Kothe scored 21 points to lead the Crusaders by the Guards in the Christian Cup Tournament.

Gary Tharaldson added 14 points, and Zach Friel scored 12 for Faith Lutheran, which also got 10 points from Blake Bell.

Eldorado 61, Western 35 — At Western, Carl Crayon scored 20 points to lead the Sundevils by the Warriors.

Shane Barnes added 13 points for Eldorado, which led 30-13 at the half.

Anthony Dodson paced Western with nine points.

Cherry Creek (Colo.) 73, Liberty 57 — At Liberty, Will Halfon scored 22 points to lead the Bruins past the Patriots.

Dyllan Robinson led Liberty with 22 points, and Tyrone Marigney scored 15 for the Patriots.

Lincoln (Colo.) 60, Valley 37 — At Valley, Umar Jalloh scored 21 points to lead the Lancers past the Vikings.

Noe Davilla had 13 points, and Jamison Washington added 11 points for Lincoln.

Zach Nichols scored 16 points to lead the Vikings, who were outscored 35-20 in the second half.

Agassi Prep 76, Word of Life 41 — At Agassi Prep, Akeemis Williams scored 25 points, and the Stars outscored the Eagles 30-7 in the third quarter to run away with the victory.

Agassi Prep led 30-23 at halftime before blowing open the game in the third quarter. Aiden Olivas scored 13 points for Agassi Prep.

Trent McCall led Word of Life with 19 points.

Needles 74, Mohave Accelerated (Ariz.) 47 — At Bullhead City, Ariz., Victor Ochoa had 18 points to lead the Mustangs by the Patriots in the Lake Havasu Invitational.

Frankie Garcia added 14 points, and Devin Darrow scored 11 for Needles.

Jordan Herbert led Mohave Accelerated with 17 points.

Arlington (Calif.) 67, Needles 36 — At Bullhead City, Ariz., Jacob Lane had 14 points to lead a balanced attack as the Lions beat the Mustangs.

Kayn Calhoun added 13 points, and Michael Godwin scored 11 for Arlington.

Ochoa led Needles with 10 points.

Lake Havasu (Ariz) 79, Mountain View 59 — At Yuma, Ariz., Jonathan Patito hit seven 3-pointers and scored 23 points to lead the Knights past the Saints in the Southwest Rotary Classic.

Gabriel Niebolos added 22 points for Lake Havasu, which connected on 15 3-pointers.

Tevin Gray scored 21 points to lead the Saints, and teammate Christian Bennett added 20 points.

Cibola (Ariz.) 70, Mountain View 56 — At Yuma, Ariz., Devonte Evans scored 30 points to lead the Knights past the Saints in the Southwest Rotary Classic.

Gray scored 25 points to lead Mountain View.

Bennett added 12 points, and Tyrell Brooks had 11 points and seven rebounds for the Saints.

Liberty Baptist 78, Quest Academy 48 — At Innovations International, the Eagles routed the Knights.
