Harris, Longhorn boys take Winter Classic consolation crown

Cardon Harris had 10 points and 10 rebounds Friday to help Legacy’s boys basketball team capture the consolation bracket of the Winter Classic in Palm Springs, Calif. with a 71-33 win over Whitney (Calif.).

All 10 Longhorns who played scored as Legacy finished the game on a 48-16 run.

Frederick Porter had 11 points, and Zach Lane supplied 10 points for Legacy, which got nine points, seven rebounds and five assists from Chris Cook.

Harris was name to the all-tournament team for the Longhorns, who won their final three games of the tournament.
