ROUNDUP: Bishop Gorman boys claim Southwest League title

Rashad Muhammad scored 23 points Tuesday to help Bishop Gorman’s boys basketball team clinch the Southwest League title with a 67-42 win at Legacy.

Trey Kennedy added 11 points, and Stephen Zimmerman scored 10 for the Gaels, who led 49-19 at halftime.

Ramell Plair scored 11 points to lead the Longhorns.

Centennial 85, Desert Oasis 49 — At Centennial, Marcus Allen scored 24 points, and Malcolm Allen added 17 points as the Bulldogs topped the Diamondbacks.

Chris DeBouck and Marcus Berkley scored eight points each, and Eddie Davis had seven points and nine rebounds for Centennial, which outscored Desert Oasis 28-8 in the second quarter.

Kodi Leslie had 17 points for Desert Oasis.

Desert Pines 84, Chaparral 58 — At Chaparral, Donavin Wright hit all four of his 3-point attempts and finished with 21 points to help the Jaguars cruise past the Cowboys.

Coby Myles scored 17 points, and Trevion Turner had 12 points to help Desert Pines, which took control early.

Patrick Savoy had 20 points and 10 rebounds to lead Chaparral, and teammate Tyree McNeal added 16 points and seven assists.

Sunrise Mountain 61, Moapa Valley 52 —
At Sunrise Mountain, Shmarlio Tolliver and Zane Gibbs each scored 13 points to help lead the Miners to victory over the Pirates.

Jason Ford added nine points for Sunrise Mountain, which used a 19-12 fourth quarter to pull away.

Andrew Huerta notched 12 points, and Bunker Wimer supplied 11 points to lead Moapa Valley.

Boulder City 50, Virgin Valley 36 — At Mesquite, Kaleb Bailey scored 10 of his 12 points in the second half, as the Eagles rallied from a 23-15 halftime deficit to top the Bulldogs.

Blake Worrall and Tanner Howell each had 10 points for Boulder City.

Tyson Teerlink led Virgin Valley with 17 points.

Clark 63, Faith Lutheran 48 —
At Faith Lutheran, Sir Washington had 18 points, and the Chargers rallied from a 32-27 halftime deficit to down the Crusaders.

Carter Olsen had 16 points, and Diontae Jones added 10 points for Clark.

D.J. Manning had 13 points, and Sam Stevens scored 10 for Faith Lutheran.

Mojave 63, Pahrump Valley 32 —
At Mojave, Jahlonn Williams paced four double-figure scorers with 16 points as the Rattlers ran past the Trojans.

Malik Abbott added 14 points, and Jason Wallace scored 11 for Mojave, which got 10 points from Darryl Adams.

Jesse Crain led Pahrump with nine points.

Cheyenne 71, Western 30 — At Western, Stephen Miller scored 23 points to lead the Desert Shields to a rout of the Warriors.

Daveion Wright added 10 points for Cheyenne, which led 44-17 at halftime.

Vadell Wilson scored eight points for Western.

Mountain View 72, Lake Mead 58 — At Lake Mead, Joseph Gueverra had 23 points, and the Saints made 10 3-pointers in a win over the Eagles.

T.J. Kissinger had 22 points, and Trenton Van Kempen scored 11 for Mountain View.

Wesley Brule had 23 points, and Brendan LeBaron scored 20 for Lake Mead, which got 15 points from Caleb Pitman.

Agassi Prep 70, Laughlin 59 —
At Laughlin, Steven Jones pumped in 27 points, and the Stars battled back from a 31-28 halftime deficit to tame the Cougars.

Kobe Williams added 12 points for Agassi Prep.

A.J. Nelson had 21 points, and Trey Smith scored 16 for Laughlin, which got 10 points from Averie Prosise.

Calvary Chapel 57, The Meadows 51 — At Calvary Chapel, Drew Hammond had 25 points as the Lions edged the Mustangs.

Quintin Hank chipped in nine points for Calvary Chapel, which overcame a 25-19 halftime deficit.

Adam Abdelaziz scored 15, and Eric Hirsberg had 14 points for The Meadows.

Spring Mountain 79, Sandy Valley 43 — At Sandy Valley, Develle Williams led five double-figure scorers with 20 points as the Golden Eagles routed the Sidewinders.

Kenyon McNair added 15 points, and Steven Burks scored 12 for Spring Mountain, which got 11 points from Terrence Ware and 10 points from Christopher Munro.

Guillermo Solano had 14 points, and Logan Shelton scored 12 for Sandy Valley.

Pahranagat Valley 62, Adelson School 45 — At Adelson School, Tyler Higbee scored 26 points to help the Panthers down the Lions.

Austin Poulsen added 15 points for Pahranagat Valley, which trailed 27-26 at halftime.

Francis Ventura scored 13 points for Adelson School, which also got 12 points from Sean Perry and 10 points from Rom Izkovich.
