ROUNDUP: Marcus Allen helps Centennial boys roll into Kiwanis semifinal

Marcus Allen scored 20 points Wednesday to lead Centennial’s boys basketball team to an 80-49 win over Rialto (Calif.) in the quarterfinals of the Kiwanis Tournament in San Bernardino, Calif.

Evan Martin and Malcolm Allen each added 16 points for the Bulldogs, who took control by outscoring Rialto 39-22 in the middle two quarters.

Cimarron-Memorial 71, Rincon (Ariz.) 56 — At Prescott Valley, Ariz., Erik Brewer went 10-for-10 from the free-throw line in the fourth quarter and finished with 29 points as the Spartans topped Rincon to advance to the championship game of the Alvarez Tire Classic.

Arin Henderson added 16 points for Cimarron, which led only 45-39 entering the fourth.

Cimarron-Memorial 75, Notre Dame (Ariz.) 66 — At Prescott Valley, Ariz., Brewer tallied 24 points, and the Spartans built a 43-25 halftime lead before holding off Notre Dame.

Henderson had 14 points, and J.C. Broussard scored 11 for Cimarron.

Vista Del Lago (Calif.) 61, Green Valley 50 — At Palm Desert, Calif., Durrell McDonald had 23 points, but Vista Del Lago used a fourth-quarter rally to down the Gators in the Desert Heat Classic.

St. Paul Johnson (Minn.) 96, Durango 75 — At Minneapolis, Marcus Marshall had 20 points, and Devonte Durr added 19 as the Governors outran the Trailblazers in the Best Buy Holiday Classic.

Tyler Jones had 25 points and six assists for Durango, and teammate Tyler Watts scored 12 of his 14 points in the second half for the Trailblazers.

Durango’s Tre’Vonn Wells had 11 points, and Dartangan Rollins chipped in six points and six rebounds.

Cedar (Utah) 74, Sunrise Mountain 39 — At Cedar City, Utah, Kyler Neilson had 24 points and three rebounds as the host Redmen routed the Miners in the Steve Hodson Cancer Classic.

Fharhaad Zinnamon led Sunrise Mountain with 11 points.

Grantsville (Utah) 54, Moapa Valley 47 — At Cedar City, Utah, Dalen Erickson scored 21 points, and Devin Adams supplied 18 points as the Cowboys scored the final five points of the third quarter to fend off the Pirates in the Steve Hodson Cancer Classic.

Sean McConnell had 16 points to pace Moapa Valley, which trailed 23-13 at halftime but erupted for 19 third-quarter points that included a 32-32 tie late in the period.

Dakota Watters added 10 points for the Pirates.

Vista Murreta (Calif.) 64, Boulder City 54 — At Menifee, Calif., Davinn Guinn poured in 30 points, and Luke Dimler made five 3-pointers for 15 points, as the Broncos held off the Eagles in the Paloma Tournament.

Michael Hernandez scored 11 points to pace Boulder City.
