GIRLS BASKETBALL: Walker scores 34 as Sundevils rout Vikings

Deasia Walker poured in 34 points Monday to lead Eldorado’s girls basketball team to a 65-32 victory at Valley.

Paige Thomas added 13 points for the Sundevils, who led 33-12 at the half.

Mia Glenn had six points for the Vikings.

Arbor View 55, Legacy 34 — At Arbor View, Ariona Gill had 15 points, eight rebounds, four steals and three blocked shots to help the Aggies top the Longhorns.

Janae Strode added nine points and eight rebounds for Arbor View, which led 19-2 after one quarter and 35-9 at the half.

Ashley Sandifer led Legacy with eight points.

Canyon Springs 41, Cheyenne 25 — At Canyon Springs, Alexia Thrower had 13 points to lead the Pioneers past the Desert Shields.

Dre’una Edwards added 12 points for Canyon Springs, which outscored Cheyenne 14-3 in the second quarter to take a 22-12 halftime lead.

Bria Buchanan led the Desert Shields with eight points.

Foothill 83, Palo Verde 47 — At Palo Verde, Gabby Doxtator had 23 points to lead the Falcons past the Panthers.

Mikayla Yeakel scored 19 points, and Taylor Turney added 13 points for Foothill, which led 36-30 at halftime.

Brooklyn Cruz and Alaysia Reed each scored 10 points for Palo Verde.

Sunrise Mountain 63, Coral Academy 13 — At Sunrise Mountain, Ayla Diaz had 17 points as the Miners routed the Falcons.

Whykella Haley added 15 points, and Tre’Licia Quinn scored 12 for Sunrise Mountain, which led 29-2 after one quarter.
