ROUNDUP: Higgins’ double-double sparks Foothill girls in win
Bri Higgins had 19 points and 13 rebounds Friday to help Foothill’s girls basketball team to a 47-34 home win over Silverado.
Samantha Gruettner added 11 points for the Falcons, who committed only 13 turnovers and used a 17-5 third-quarter run to take control of the game.
Natalie Lainhart paced the Skyhawks with 17 points.
Basic 61, Tech 34 — At Basic, Kailai Brantner had 12 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists as the Wolves downed Tech.
Marquichea Burns added 14 points and 10 rebounds for Basic. Noemi Hernandez scored 12 points and Brielle Wilke contributed 10 for the Wolves.
Julie Harless paced the Roadrunners with 18 points.
Coronado 52, Del Sol 27 — At Del Sol, Julia Yaldo scored 12 points to help the Cougars cruise past the Dragons.
Nicole Ruffino added 10 points for Coronado, which led 25-5 at halftime.
Kristen Hanks led Del Sol with six points.
Centennial 84, Cheyenne 38 — At Cheyenne, Alexis Byrd poured in 34 points, and Centennial built a 72-24 lead after three quarters in a rout of the Desert Shields.
Ashley Klemz added 13 points, and Courtney Hayes and Shannon Brown each scored 12 for Centennial.
Taylor Bosley paced Cheyenne with 11 points.
Legacy 63, Palo Verde 52 — At Legacy, Breanah Manley scored 25 points to lead the Longhorns past the Panthers.
Latia Matthews added 10 points and 15 rebounds for Legacy, and teammate Kayla Murray had eight points and 12 rebounds.
Jasmin Kiley scored 21, and Nicole Ameli had 11 points to lead Palo Verde, which made it close with a late rally.
Mojave 53, Shadow Ridge 49 — At Shadow Ridge, Clarissa Cannon scored 16 points to help the Rattlers hold on for a win over the Mustangs.
Jazmin Pedraza scored 11 points, and Traci Parks added 10 points for Mojave, which led 39-30 entering the fourth quarter.
Shadow Ridge’s Elisha Hensey led all scorers with 25 points. Sabriya Brooks added 13 points and 11 rebounds for the Mustangs.
Arbor View 47, Faith Lutheran 31 — At Faith Lutheran, the Aggies led 14-1 after the first quarter and cruised to a victory over the Crusaders.
Ashley Yancey had 14 points, and Ashley Dawkins and Jena Valenzuela each scored 12 for Arbor View.
Kelsey McCourt scored 11 points to lead Faith Lutheran.
Valley 62, Eldorado 20 — At Valley, Christina Davis had 19 points and Jessica Walton added 16 as the Vikings routed the Sundevils.
Estelle Wilson added 15 rebounds, six steals and three assists for Valley.
Canyon Springs 67, Chaparral 46 — At Chaparral, Faith Harper and Skotasia Thomas each had 16 points to lead the Pioneers past the Cowboys.
Kenosha Wright added 11 points for Canyon Springs.
Janae Neuville had 15 points and Jacquie Ferguson contributed 11 for Chaparral.
Desert Pines 83, Sunrise Mountain 34 — At Desert Pines, TaQuiyyah Boyles had 22 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Jaguars in a rout of the Miners.
LaBrea Walker had 17 points and 14 assists, Cydney Myles scored 14 points and Claudia Meneses added 12 points for Desert Pines.
Tahani Sanders led Sunrise Mountain with 14 points.
Las Vegas 45, Rancho 25 — At Las Vegas High, Shomari Harris scored 11 points, and the Wildcats broke open 6-4 first-quarter lead to cruise past the Rams.
Maijah Williams had nine points for Rancho.
Boulder City 36, Moapa Valley 35 — At Boulder City, Jessi Forrester hit a game-winning jumper with less than 30 seconds to play to help the Eagles edge the Pirates.
Forrester finished with 11 points.
Caley Dunlap led Moapa Valley with 12 points, and teammate Shilo Parashonts scored 10.
Needles 95, West Wendover 48 — At Needles, Calif., Miranda Brackett poured in 27 points, and the Mustangs bolted to a 53-23 halftime lead and cruised past the Wolverines.
Alex Chandler added 22 points, Gena Chavira had 19 and Kristen Arthur netted 12 for Needles.
Danika Sharp paced West Wendover with 36 points.
Mountain View 41, Agassi Prep 30 — At Agassi Prep, Briana Marruffo had 18 points, five rebounds, four steals and three assists to help the Saints rally past the Stars.
Zari Riley had 14 points and 14 rebounds to help Mountain View, which trailed 22-15 at halftime before taking over in the third quarter.
Shaquan Reed scored eight points to lead Agassi Prep.
Lincoln County 81, Calvary Chapel 25 — At Panaca, Marissa Smerek scored 17 points as the Lynx routed the Lions.
Mary Culverwell had 10 points and seven steals for Lincoln County. Tara Tibbitts and Nicole Florence added 10 points each for the Lynx.
Samantha Mann and Anna Duerden had six points apiece for Calvary Chapel.
Lake Mead 51, Henderson International 31 — At Henderson International, Jordan Clarke scored 19 points to lead the Eagles past the Wolverines.
Taylor Badua-Kono added 10 points for Lake Mead.
Brittany Huff led Henderson International with 11 points.
Tonopah 44, Indian Springs 42 — At Indian Springs, the Muckers scored on a layup in the last minute to beat the Thunderbirds.
Britney Klapper scored 10 points to lead Tonopah, which trailed 34-28 heading into the fourth quarter.
Karys Melgoza led Indian Springs with 16 points.
Trinity 37, Laughlin 36 — At Mirabelli Gym, Rene Celero made two free throws to tie the game with 1.3 seconds remaining in regulation, and Tia Calbert hit the second of two free throws with five seconds left in the second overtime to give the Thunder the win over the Cougars.
Danielle Noll led Trinity with 10 points.
Elisa Daniels scored 15 points for Laughlin.
