ROUNDUP: Luckie springs Wildcat girls to win over Cowboys

Shauntovia Luckie led a balanced attack with 14 points Tuesday to help Las Vegas High’s girls basketball team to a 54-41 win at Chaparral.

Shomari Harris tallied 12 points, and Natresha Bernard scored 10 for the Wildcats.

Octavia Gray paced the Cowboys with 17 points, and teammate Rebecca Vasquez supplied eight points.

Canyon Springs 85, Eldorado 24 — At Canyon Springs, Kenosha Wright tallied 19 points as the Pioneers raced to a 46-9 halftime lead in a rout of the Sundevils.

Cherise Beynon added 16 points, and Pearl Paulo scored 15 for the Pioneers, who got 12 points from Diamond Broadus and 11 points from Azaria Williams.

Gigi Jerkins and Jalissa Carter each had seven points for Eldorado.

Valley 87, Desert Pines 37 — At Valley, Christina Davis scored 16 points in leading the Vikings to a rout of the Jaguars.

Ashley Johnson had 14 points and eight steals, and Shayna Porter supplied 14 points, six assists and four steals for Valley. Estelle Wilson added 12 points, and Kennedy Wharton had 10 points and 11 rebounds for the Vikings.

TaQuiyyah Boyles led Desert Pines with 24 points.

Rancho 46, Sunrise Mountain 33 — At Rancho, Tryicia Payne scored 17 points as the Rams cruised past the Miners.

Jenea Yurek-Carhee paced Sunrise Mountain with 11 points.

The Meadows 63, Adelson School 34 — At The Meadows, Amber Peterson had 20 points and 10 rebounds, and the Mustangs busted out to a 20-2 first-quarter lead and won their first game in more than three years.

Sarah Aziz added eight points and 10 rebounds for The Meadows.

Sueleika Blackwell had 28 points for the Lions.

Lincoln County 51, Agassi Prep 11 — At Lincoln County, Tia Florence had 18 points, and Melanie Florence scored 11 to lead the Lynx past the Stars.

Alannah Conway led Agassi Prep with five points.

Mountain View 33, Needles 28 — At Mountain View, Patrice Marshall scored 11 points, and the Saints used a 10-4 run in the final quarter to stun the Mustangs.

Briana Marruffo added 10 points for Mountain View, which made 12 of 20 free throws, compared to Needles’ 3 of 4 from the line.

Gena Chavira paced Needles with 13 points.

Calvary Chapel 40, Lake Mead 27 — At Lake Mead, Samantha Mann and Deja Harris each had 13 points, and the Lions used a 16-3 third-quarter run to top the Eagles.

Taylor Badua-Kono paced Lake Mead with 15 points, and teammate Colleen Zumaran grabbed 11 rebounds.
