ROUNDUP: Metzger, Barnard lift Virgin Valley girls over Silverado

Kourtney Metzger and Abbie Barnard each had 16 points Monday to lead Virgin Valley’s girls basketball team to a 59-54 road win over Silverado.

Nikki Arquette added 11 points for the Bulldogs.

Brittany Loguidice paced Silverado with 23 points. A.J. Hodas scored 12, and Jasmyn Garcia had 10 points for the Skyhawks.

Basic 48, Valley 36 — At Basic, the Wolves outscored the Vikings 20-6 in the third quarter and held on to get the win.

Dana Deloney scored 13 points and Jayla Brown added 10 points to lead Basic.

Kennedy Wharton scored 21 points for Valley.

Las Vegas 64, Durango 40 —
At Las Vegas, Shomari Harris had 24 points and 10 assists, and Matti Ventling had 14 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Wildcats over the Trailblazers.

Shaleea Butler added 12 points and eight steals for Las Vegas.

Jazmine Chavez scored 19 points to lead Durango.

Green Valley 61, Spring Valley 23 —
At Green Valley, Maggie Manwarren had 20 points to help the Gators top the Grizzlies.

Riana Rudolph added 13 points for Green Valley, which outscored Spring Valley 23-8 in the second quarter to take a 30-10 halftime lead.

Jamie Fajardo had five points to lead Spring Valley.

Chaparral 51, Mojave 29 — At Chaparral, Tishina Savoy had 15 points, four assists and three steals to help the Cowboys beat the Rattlers.

Unique Wilson added 15 points, and Alejandra Macias had four steals for Chaparral.

Dennisha Atkins had 10 points for Mojave.

Sunrise Mountain 53, Agassi Prep 34 —
At Agassi Prep, Brittany Veal scored 23 points to lead the Miners by the Stars.

Jenae Yurek-Carhee added 11 points for Sunrise Mountain.

Javoulaee Green led Agassi Prep with seven points.
