Outlook: Mojave was the second seed in the Sunset League before having a disappointing first-round setback against Virgin Valley, 27-0.

The Rattlers return eight starters on each side of the ball, including first team all-state running back Ty Flanagan, who rushed for 1,275 yards.

Quarterback Zack Arave returns after passing for 683 yards and rushing for 723.

On defense, second team all-league players Kaleb Friedman and Daijon Payno are back to make some noise in the front seven.

Coach Joe Delgado would like to “advance further in the playoffs…but also look at one game at a time and get better each week.”

Faith Lutheran changes QBs, defeats unbeaten Centennial
