GOLF: Bauman, Tottori lead Panthers to Northwest win

Brandon Bauman and David Tottori each shot 1-over-par 73 at Painted Desert on Monday to lead Palo Verde’s boys golf team to victory in a Northwest League match.

The Panthers, who also got a 74 from Joseph Ender, had a team score of 380. Arbor View was second at 388, followed by Shadow Ridge with 405 and Spring Valley with 449.

The Aggies’ Van Thomas and Sam Dickey each shot 72 to share medalist honors.

Shadow Ridge’s Ben Davis carded a 74.

Keyer, Coronado win Southeast match

At Revere, Bradley Keyer shot 3-under 69 to lead Coronado to victory in a Southeast League match.

Michael Kirby had a 74, and Grant McKay shot 76 for the Cougars, who had a team score of 375. Foothill was second at 388, followed by Basic (434) and Liberty (448). Travis Dickens added a 77 for Coronado.

Foothill’s Hayden Munns shot 71, and teammate Mason Reid added a 77.

All-state teams to be announced in June

All-state teams in all eight spring sports will be released one per day, beginning on June 6 with boys golf.

Jake Johnson carded a 6-under-par 66 at Bear’s Best on Thursday to earn medalist honors and lead Bishop Gorman to victory in a Southwest League match.
