GOLF: Bible, Dickey pace Arbor View boys to Northwest win
Nick Bible and Sam Dickey each shot a 5-over-par 77 on Tuesday to lead Arbor View’s boys golf team to a victory in a Northwest League match at Badlands.
The Aggies shot 406 as a team to easily top Palo Verde (416), Shadow Ridge (492), Durango (502) and Sierra Vista (503).
Palo Verde’s Joe Ender also carded a 77 to share medalist honors, and Shadow Ridge’s Ben Davis fired a 78.
Savio sparks Gators in Northeast match
At Las Vegas National, Grayson Savio took medalist honors with a 5-over 77 as Green Valley rolled to a win in a Northeast League match.
The Gators shot 396 as a team, and second-place Las Vegas finished at 475. Canyon Springs was third at 502, followed by Silverado (527), Valley (537) and Rancho (577).
Eddie Long carded a 78 for Green Valley, while teammates Blaise McComb and Jordan Green each shot 79.
Las Vegas’ Trey Jensen shot 83 to round out the top five.
Crusaders cruise in Sunset match
At Angel Park, John Bowers fired a 5-over 76 to lift Faith Lutheran to a win in a Division I-A Sunset League match.
The Crusaders shot 404 as a team, while Pahrump Valley (432) was second. Cheyenne finished third at 566 and Clark was fourth at 588.
J.R. Tuls shot 81, and Alex Church and A.J. Johnson each shot 82 for Faith Lutheran.
Dalton Beighley led Pahrump with a 78, and Derek Moore carded an 82 for the Trojans.
Cougars drop Del Sol
At Anthem, Matt Welch, Audwin Angosta, Michael Kirby and Kyle Choltko shared medalist honors with a 3-over 39, leading Coronado to a 197-259 victory over Del Sol.
Rae, George bolster Foothill
At Tuscany, Nick Rae and Grant George each carded a 37 as Foothill defeated Boulder City, 196-209.
Luke Logan of Boulder City shot an even-par 36 to take medalist honors.
