GOLF: Pate helps Gaels win Southwest League match

Hunter Pate earned medalist honors with a 2-over-par 74 at Aliante on Wednesday as Bishop Gorman’s girls won a Southwest League match.

The Gaels, who also got an 85 from Megan Orgad and an 86 from Sabrina Schnur, had a team score of 333. Shadow Ridge was second at 384, followed by Palo Verde at 401.

Shadow Ridge’s Allison Weiderman shot 78.

Cougars win Southeast match

At Revere, Isabella Martinez and Sammy Penor each carded a 6-over 78 to share medalist honors as Coronado won a Southeast League match.

Coronado, which also got an 80 from Natalie Yamamoto, had a team score of 322. Green Valley was second with 380, followed by Foothill at 453 and Basic at 528.

Green Valley’s Mercedes Khumnark also shot 78.

Roadrunners claim Sunrise League match

At Silverstone, Meghan Chase shot a 22-over 94 as Tech won a Sunrise League match.

The Roadrunners, who also got a 96 from Ana Ceballos, posted a team score of 426.

Boulder City’s Lani Potter was the medalist with 82.

Crusaders take Sunset League match

At Las Vegas Municipal, Julia Becker shot a 1-over 73 to lead Faith Lutheran to victory in a Sunset League match.

The Crusaders also got a 76 from Sydney Smith and a 79 from Olivia Vogel and had a team score of 323. Clark was second at 351, followed by Pahrump Valley at 406.

Clark’s Sabrina Ho shot 80, and teammate Cassandra Ho shot 81.
