ROUNDUP: Freman, Faith Lutheran breeze to victory

Annie Freman carded a 3-over-par 39 at Badlands on Wednesday as Faith Lutheran’s girls breezed to victory in a Northwest League match.

The Crusaders had a team score of 169. Arbor View was second at 212, followed by Legacy at 217 and Palo Verde at 219.

Ashley Lacher shot 43 and Amanda Ryu added a 46 for Faith Lutheran.

Canyon Springs holds off Las Vegas
At Desert Rose, Almira Wilborn shot a 12-over 83 to lead Canyon Springs to victory in a Northeast League meet.

Canyon Springs had a team score of 434.

Las Vegas was second at 446, led by Ashley Manhnieo’s 84.

The Clark sophomore carded a 6-under-par 138 over the two-day tournament to capture the individual championship on Wednesday by seven strokes. Her performance helped the Chargers shoot 653 as a team and claim the first region championship in program history.
