BOYS SOCCER: Parra scores twice as Vikings edge Gators

Alejandro Parra scored two goals Wednesday as Valley’s boys soccer team built a 3-0 halftime lead and held off visiting Green Valley, 3-2.

Eric Sanchez added a goal, and Marco Gonzalez had three assists for the Vikings.

Khalil Landers and Scott Schofield each had a goal for Green Valley, which played without four usual starters because of injury.

Canyon Springs 2, Las Vegas 1 — At Canyon Springs, Gaspar Gonzalez scored with about 10 minutes to play to lift the Pioneers over the Wildcats.

Brian Santa Cruz had the other goal for Canyon Springs.

Elias Torres scored for Las Vegas.

Eldorado 2, Liberty 1 — At Liberty, Darwin Didiales and Israel Hernandez each scored a goal as the Sundevils edged the Patriots.

Alex Camacho scored for Liberty.

Shadow Ridge 2, Durango 0 — At Shadow Ridge, Nathan Kramer made 10 saves and recorded the shutout to lead the Mustangs over the Trailblazers.

Blake Damato had a goal and an assist, and Matthew Camacho scored for Shadow Ridge.

Foothill 3, Del Sol 1 — At Del Sol, Dakota Maack had a goal and an assist as the Falcons topped the Dragons.

Robby Cowan and Jairo Bocanegra also scored for Foothill.

Juan Sequeira converted a penalty kick for Del Sol.

Sierra Vista 5, Spring Valley 1 — At Spring Valley, Miles McRae had three goals and an assist to lead the Mountain Lions by the Grizzlies.

Dominic Cardenas and Luis Vazquez each added a goal for Sierra Vista.

Tyson Perkins scored for Spring Valley.

Palo Verde 6, Arbor View 1 — At Arbor View, Matt Thomas had two goals and an assist, and Nolan Sherwood added two goals to help the Panthers top the Aggies.

Austin Polster had a goal and an assist, and Eli Ruffer also scored for Palo Verde, which got two assists from Austin Manthey.

Austin Socia scored for Arbor View.

Silverado 6, Rancho 0 — At Silverado, Manny Jahuey scored two goals as the Skyhawks routed the Rams

Jacob Holquin and Randy Casas each had a goal and an assist, and Brandon Holquin and Maricio Cristales also scored for Silverado, which got two assists from Lucas Tovar.

Ryan Schumucker made two saves in recording the shutout.

Coronado 9, Basic 0 — At Basic, Justin Lyons scored four goals as the Cougars routed the Wolves.

Tanner Cobb, Viet Nguyen, Asa Graham, Jalen Randolph and Miguel Lopez each scored once for Coronado.

Cody Capps made two saves en route to the shutout.
