GIRLS SOCCER: Godoy-Pacheco, Pioneers top Trailblazers

Leticia Godoy-Pacheco scored two unassisted goals Wednesday to lead Canyon Springs’ girls soccer team to a 4-3 home win over Durango.

Yareli Trujillo and Paulina Salazar also scored for the Pioneers.

Esmerelda Buenrosto, Laila Loring and Alyssa Nunez each scored a goal for the Traiblazers.

Coronado 1, Palo Verde 1 — At Green Valley, Gabrielle Casas controlled Olivia Meza’s deflected free kick and scored a goal with two minutes remaining to give the Cougars a tie with the Panthers in the Las Vegas Kick-Off.

Macee Barlow scored Palo Verde’s goal in the first half.

Green Valley 4, Las Vegas 0 — At Green Valley, Talia Lopez scored twice to lead the Gators by the Wildcats in the Las Vegas Kick-Off.

Shestan Lynam and Taylor Paulsen also scored for Green Valley.

Kiyana Lopez made six saves en route to the shutout.

Arbor View 4, Shadow Ridge 0 — At Green Valley, Sierra Vicente had a goal and an assist as the Aggies blanked the Mustangs in the Las Vegas Kick-Off.

Katelyn Laurente, Allyssa Larkin and Hannah Ferrara each added a goal for Arbor View. Goalkeeper Haylee Niemann had three saves in the shutout.

Faith Lutheran 2, Centennial 1 — At Faith Lutheran, Kristi Chinn and Megan Donnelly each scored in the second half, and the Crusaders held on to edge the Bulldogs in the Las Vegas Kick-Off.

Kellsey Meechudhone scored on a free kick for Centennial.

Sierra Vista 6, Clark 3 — At Clark, Michaela Budnick scored twice, and Calista Reyes had a goal and three assists to lead the Mountain Lions by the Chargers.

Brianna Villa, Cassidy Kouba and Danielle Johnson also scored for Sierra Vista, which got two assists from Angelina Iniguez.

Clark’s Darian Gambetta had a goal and two assists, and Luz Garcia and Areli Valenzuela also scored for the Chargers.

Desert Oasis 2, Legacy 0 — At Legacy, Cayla Lee and Cecily Demille each scored a second-half goal to lead the Diamondbacks by the Longhorns.

Kelsey LeBoeuf and Kylee Bauer combined on the shutout for Desert Oasis.

Valley 6, Chaparral 1 — At Chaparral, Ryen Darling-Clay scored three goals to lead the Vikings by the Cowboys.

Neida Gutierrez, Alondra Ysita and Jordan Gardner also scored for Valley.

Leticia Ibarra scored for Chaparral.

Rancho 4, Moapa Valley 1 — At Rancho, Marlene Godoy had two goals and an assist to help the Rams top the Pirates.

Saippress Jones added a goal and an assist, and Faith White also scored for Rancho.

Ingvild Reinford scored for Moapa Valley.

Spring Valley 5, Western 2 — At Western, Amanda Meyers scored two goals to lead the Grizzlies to a win over the Warriors.

Jozee DeCunzo, Samantha Meyers and Sahana Bojorquez each added a goal for Spring Valley, which led 2-0 at halftime.

Western’s Ellyson Reynada had a goal and an assist, and Vanessa Margarito scored for the Warriors.

Cheyenne 6, Mojave 0 — At Cheyenne, Girly Tambeagbor had four goals and an assist to lead the Desert Shields by the Rattlers.

Yadira Erives and Makayla Spadafora each added a goal for Cheyenne.

Sabrina Garza and Shayna Thompson combined on the shutout.

Goalie Kirsten Kircher made 12 saves, and Camden Berry and Kennedy Enus led the defense as Bishop Gorman held off Palo Verde’s late rally for a 3-2 win at Bettye Wilson Soccer Complex.

3A girls: Ava Seelenfreund’s hat trick seals Pahrump’s fate

Ava Seelenfreund finished with a hat trick and an assist as the Wolverines overwhelmed Pahrump Valley 7-0 to advance to the state championship game at noon Saturday against South Tahoe (24-2).
