Roundup: Liberty’s late penalty kick earns draw with Foothill

Liberty’s Mia Edwards scored the tying goal on a 77th-minute penalty kick to help the Patriots’ girls soccer team earn a 2-2 draw with host Foothill on Tuesday.

Mia Edwards and Lela Gi each added a goal for the Patriots.

Arianna Vigil and Katelyn Norris had a goal apiece to lead the Falcons.

Sierra Vista 1, Green Valley 0 — At Sierra Vista, Jamie Kalaau-Sunia made five saves to preserve the Mountain Lions’ shutout of the Gators.

Amani Felipe scored in the 56th minute for Sierra Vista.

Silverado 1, Basic 0 — At Basic, Kayla Meyer scored the game’s only goal as the Skyhawks edged the Wolves.

Heather Jacquart made two saves for Silverado, and teammate Ashley Nekoba had an assist.

Clark 2, Valley 0 — At Clark, Dabani Rayo had a goal and an assist to lead the Chargers over the Vikings.

Holly Orr also scored for the Chargers, and goalkeeper Sarah Follmer made two saves to get the shutout.

Desert Oasis 0, Tech 0 — At Tech, the Diamondbacks and Roadrunners played to a scoreless draw.

Samantha Gato made six saves in the shutout for Desert Oasis, and Chloe Dody earned the shutout in goal for Tech.

Coronado 8, Durango 0 — At Durango, Alexis Pashales had three goals, and Alysa Caso had two goals and an assist as the Cougars defeated the Trailblazers.

Alexis Hale and Brenna Heenan each had a goal and an assist for Coronado, and teammate Simone Hottentot had one goal.

Taylor Book and Stella Poste split the shutout for the Cougars.

Bishop Gorman 9, Spring Valley 0 — At Gorman, Jaden Terrana had three goals and an assist as the Gaels routed the Grizzlies.

Ashtyn Fink had two goals and two assists, Gianna Gourley had two goals and an assist, and Taylor Cox and Jenna Madrid each scored once for Gorman.

Gorman’s Michelle Madrid had two assists, and Maris Findlay made four saves for the shutout.

Pahrump Valley 8, Mojave 0 — At Pahrump, Grace Gundacker, Kimberly Ramos and Madelyn Souza each scored twice as the Trojans ripped the Rattlers.

Makayla Gent added a goal and three assists, Sofia Castro had a goal and an assist, and Ramos assisted on one goal for Pahrump.

Hannah McElheny made two saves in the shutout.

Roundup: Shadow Ridge shocks Gorman in soccer playoffs

The Shadow Ridge girls soccer team went into Monday’s Class 5A Southern League quarterfinals as heavy underdogs, but the Mustangs knocked off Bishop Gorman 5-4 .
