Roundup: Marcella Brooks scores five goals in Centennial victory

Marcella Brooks scored five goals Tuesday as Centennial’s girls soccer team rolled to a 7-0 home victory over Spring Valley.

Dona Acierto and Quincy Bonds each had a goal and an assist for the Bulldogs, and Viviana Cera had two assists.

Addison Riddle made three saves to preserve the shutout.

Green Valley 3, Clark 1 — At Green Valley, Taylor O’Neill had a pair of goals in the Gators’ victory over the Chargers.

Savannah Newman also scored for the Gators, who trailed 1-0 at halftime.

Luz Juarez-Mera had Clark’s goal.

Palo Verde 2, Silverado 0 — At Silverado, Carlee Giammona had a goal and an assist to lead the Panthers over the Skyhawks in a game called at halftime because of lightning.

Olivia Packer also scored for Palo Verde, and Sarah Saxe had the shutout.

Arbor View 4, Desert Oasis 0 — At Desert Oasis, Deja Erickson tallied a goal and an assist, and goalkeeper Krystin Cooper notched three saves as the Aggies blanked the Diamondbacks.

Abby Cassano, Jolianna Meyers and Karissa Martinez each scored a goal for Arbor View, and teammate Sierra Vicente supplied an assist. Arbor View led 2-0 at halftime.

Bishop Gorman 4, Faith Lutheran 0 — At Faith Lutheran, Gianna Gourley scored twice and the Gaels shut out the Crusaders.

Taylor Cox and Jaden Terrana each had a goal and an assist for the Gaels, and Hannah Lee and Kirsten Kircher split the shutout.

Shadow Ridge 4, Sierra Vista 0 — At Shadow Ridge, Reese Simmons had two goals in the Mustangs’ victory over the Mountain Lions.

Jazmine Adame and Adriana Mendez each scored for the Mustangs, and Cassandra Tolton and Tieg Simmons combined on the shutout.
