Roundup: Mia Voges hits for cycle as Shadow Ridge rolls

Mia Voges hit for the cycle to help Shadow Ridge’s softball team rout host Cimarron-Memorial on Wednesday,15-1 in four innings on Wednesday.

Voges hit a single in the fourth inning to complete the cycle. Shea Clements came a single shy of the cycle for the Mustangs, and Shelbi Denman fell a double short of the cycle.

Raelynn Kendall had a triple and five RBIs for the Mustangs, and Merisa Osborn and Angelina Esqueda each doubled for Shadow Ridge.

Centennial 12, Legacy 0 — At Centennial, Deanna Barrera struck out 11 and threw a five-inning no-hitter for the Bulldogs in their win over the Longhorns.

Tatum Huntly went 2-for-3 with five RBIs for Centennial.

Palo Verde 11, Arbor View 0 — At Palo Verde, Taylor Askland spun a five-hitter with 10 strikeouts as the Panthers blanked the Aggies in six innings.

Lauryn Barker belted a two-run home run in the first for Palo Verde, and Askland and Grace Chavez each added three hits.

Tori Forsberg supplied two hits to pace Arbor View.

Durango 9, Spring Valley 1 — At Durango, Trinity Valentine fired a one-hitter with 14 strikeouts and went 3-for-4 with a double, a home run, and two RBIs as the Trailblazers downed the Grizzlies.

Alexis Geraldo cracked a three-run homer for Durango, and teammate Kaitlin Fazendin supplied a double, a home run and three RBIs.

Keely Thompson went 3-for-4 with three runs for the Trailblazers.

Basic 16, Silverado 7 — At Silverado, winning pitcher Shelby Basso was 4-for-5 with two doubles and three RBIs to lift the Wolves over the Skyhawks.

Alyssa Ferguson was 3-for-6 with a double, two runs and three RBIs for the Wolves, and Mikayla Berg doubled and scored three times. Kassidi Ziegenhagen added a double for Basic.

Jessica Boothe doubled and had three runs for the Skyhawks, and Megan Johnson doubled.

Foothill 13, Las Vegas 4 — At Foothill, Kylie Becker had a double, three RBIs and four runs to power the Falcons over the Wildcats.

Jocelyn Schupp was 3-for-5 with a double, an RBI and two runs for the Falcons, and teammate Skylar Glaude had tree RBIs.

Foothill pitcher Leah Becker did not allow an earned run in her complete game, and struck out five.

Coronado 10, Eldorado 0 — At Coronado, Ashley Ward pitched a one-hit shutout and went 4-for-4 with a triple and two RBIs to lead the Cougars over the Sundevils in five innings.

Tatum Spangler homered and scored four times for the Cougars, and teammate Alyana Lopez was 2-for-2.

Sierra Vista 18, Bonanza 3 — At Sierra Vista, Jazmyn Martinez was 3-for-3 with two home runs, a double and six RBIs as the Mountain Lions routed the Bengals in three innings.

Hola Rosalia Nakayama had a home run, a triple, four RBIs and three runs as part of nine Sierra Vista extra-base hits. Mia Buranamontri, Aaliyah Medina, Andrea Barajas and Jamie Kalaau-Sunia each doubled for the Mountain Lions.

Siannah Velasco doubled for the Bengals.

Green Valley 19, Valley 1 — At Valley, Alicia Ortega was 2-for-3 with a triple and five RBIs, and Cristina De Los Angeles was 3-for-4 with two doubles, three RBIs and two runs scored as the Gators slugged their way to a five-inning win over the Vikings.

Olivia McClain was 4-for-6 with a triple, an RBI and two runs for Green Valley, which scored six runs in the first, fourth and fifth innings.

Gabriella Morales went 4-for-4 and scored the only run for Valley.

Lake Mead 29-21, Democracy Prep 2-4 — At Democracy Prep, Josey White hit two home runs, including a grand slam, two triples and had 11 RBIs in the three-inning first game as the Eagles swept a doubleheader against the Blue Knights.

Lauryn Freund pitched a complete game with seven strikeouts, and both runs she allowed were unearned.

White doubled in the second game to lead the Eagles over the Blue Knights in three innings.
