Palo Verde gains experience, tournament title

Palo Verde left with a lot of hardware and a lot of confidence after defeating Bishop Alemany (Calif.), the defending tournament champion, 25-19, 25-23 to claim the Gold Bracket title at Foothill. Durango’s girls volleyball team picked up its first big win of the season, claiming the title of the Gator Classic with a 25-21, 25-20, 25-18 victory over host Green Valley in the championship game on Saturday.
