ROUNDUP: Vegas boys edge Bonanza on tiebreaker

Zach Balanco won three singles sets as Las Vegas High’s boys tennis team defeated visiting Bonanza on a tiebreaker on Monday.

The match was tied 9-9, but the Wildcats won 4-2 on a tiebreaker.

The doubles teams of Bennett Tanner and Jacob Mabye, and Brian Clow and Conner Lemmon each went 2-1 for Boulder City.

Chaparral 11, Boulder City 7 — At Chaparral, the doubles teams of Jelina Francisco and Edgar Munoz, and Evan Kofford and Matthew Terry each went 3-0 as the Cowboys topped the Eagles.

Travis Robinson was 3-0 in singles for Boulder City.

Arbor View 11, Desert Oasis 2 — At Desert Oasis, Manuel Portillo went 3-0 in singles as the Aggies defeated the Diamondbacks.

Coronado 18, Cimarron-Memorial 0 — At Cimarron, the Cougars shut out the Spartans.

GIRLS

Arbor View 10, Desert Oasis 8 — At Desert Oasis, Victoria and Alejandra Portillo each went 3-0 in singles as the Aggies edged the Diamondbacks.

Coronado 17, Cimarron-Memorial 1 — At Cimarron, Nichole Gardner went 3-0 in singles as the Cougars defeated the Spartans.

Paris Reese was 2-0 in singles for Coronado.

Bonanza 14, Las Vegas 4 — At Las Vegas, Taylor Gordy-Prescott and Maddie Sutton teamed to go 3-0 in doubles to lead the Bengals over the Wildcats.

Alison Matlovic was 2-0 in singles for Bonanza, and the teams of Julie Speraw and Lauren Smith, and Emma Nelson and  Marnie Nelson each went 2-0 in doubles.

Boulder City 18, Chaparral 0 — At Chaparral, the Eagles shut out the Cowboys.
