GIRLS TENNIS: Shadow Ridge edges Legacy 11-7

The doubles teams of Samantha Milanovich and Caitlyn Covington, and Taylor Dixon and Caroline Hawley each finished 3-0 on Friday as Shadow Ridge’s girls tennis team defeated visiting Legacy, 11-7.

Legacy’s Emma Shepherd was 3-0 in singles.

Faith Lutheran 14, Centennial 4 — At Faith Lutheran, Kennedy Barr went 3-0 in singles to power the Crusaders by the Bulldogs.

Jayden Mattson and Dina Ciulla went 2-0 in doubles for Faith Lutheran.

Centennial’s Macie Stratton was 2-0 in singles.

Clark 11, Valley 7 — At Valley, Audrey Boch-Collins went 2-0 in singles to help the Chargers down the Vikings.

The doubles team of Esther Yi and Alysandra Smith also finished 2-0 for the Chargers.

Green Valley 13, Foothill 5 — At Foothill, Daria Shalina and Megan Madrid each went 2-0 in singles to carry the Gators by the Falcons.

Coronado 16, Silverado 2 — At Coronado, the doubles team of Mana Iritani and Sofia Potamitis went 2-0 as the Cougars routed the Skyhawks.

Hannah Grossman was 2-0 in singles for Coronado.

Palo Verde 17, Cimarron-Memorial 1 — At Palo Verde, Shelby Graber, McKenzie Thompson and Devon Yamane each went 2-0 in singles as the Panthers cruised past the Spartans.

The doubles teams of Abby Lewis and Kaya Richardson, and Martina Calabi and Natasha Scott also finished 2-0.

Liberty 13, Basic 5 — At Basic, Megan Quandt went 2-0 in singles to carry the Patriots over the Wolves.

Rancho 13, Virgin Valley 5 — At Mesquite, the Rams defeated the Bulldogs.

The Meadows 12, Mojave 0 — At Mojave, the Mustangs defeated the Rattlers by forfeit.

Audrey Boch-Collins, a junior from Clark, defeated Madison Smith of Coronado 6-0, 6-1 in the 4A girls state championship match at Bishop Manogue to become only the second girl in state history to win three individual state championships in singles.
