TENNIS: Singles sweep sends Sundevil girls by Moapa Valley

Eldorado’s girls tennis team swept the nine singles sets Friday on its way to a 10-8 win at Moapa Valley.

Cheyenne Delicate, Shannon Brown and Kristie Thomas each went 3-0 in singles for the Sundevils.

The doubles teams of Riley Fulmer and Kinzi Robinson, and Hannah Rust and Lindsey Leavitt each went 3-0 for the Pirates.

Clark 12, Centennial 6 — At Clark, Paige Smith was 2-0 in singles to lead the Chargers by the Bulldogs.

Lovely Warner was 2-0 in singles for Centennial.

Desert Pines 10, Rancho 8 — At Rancho, the Jaguars nipped the Rams.


Moapa Valley 13, Eldorado 5 — At Overton, the doubles teams of Koby Frei and Andy Beckstrand, and Nathan Barraza and Chase Kruse each went 2-0 to lift the Pirates by the Sundevils.

Trevor Swain went 3-0 in singles for Eldorado.

Desert Pines 14, Rancho 4 — At Rancho, Adan Cano and Kim Halasan went 3-0 in doubles as the Jaguars topped the Rams.

Oscar Murillo was 2-0 in singles for Desert Pines.

Clark 13, Centennial 5 — At Clark, the Chargers topped the Bulldogs.

Clark’s Audrey-Boch Collins claims third consecutive singles crown

Audrey Boch-Collins, a junior from Clark, defeated Madison Smith of Coronado 6-0, 6-1 in the 4A girls state championship match at Bishop Manogue to become only the second girl in state history to win three individual state championships in singles.
