VOLLEYBALL: Sundevils rally from two-set deficit, top Wolves

Michael Thomas dished out 44 assists, and Dakota Shults recorded 19 kills Tuesday to help Eldorado’s boys volleyball team rally for an 18-25, 17-25, 25-23, 25-17, 15-12 win at Basic.

Jacob Tibbs added 15 kills for the Sundevils.

Taylor Dyer notched 37 assists, and Austin McDonald had 27 digs for the Wolves, who also received 16 kills from Auston Farrington.

Legacy 3, Bishop Gorman 0 — At Gorman, Trent Compton notched 12 digs and 11 kills to guide the Longhorns to a 25-9, 25-15, 25-19 sweep of the Gaels.

Tanner Compton supplied eight kills and eight digs, and Zaire Franklin had eight kills and six digs for Legacy, which got eight assists from Ben Martin.

Coronado 3, Liberty 0 — At Coronado, Max Osmundson had seven kills and five digs to help the Cougars to a 25-8, 25-18, 25-21 sweep of the Patriots.

Logan Dickover had 26 assists, eight digs and three aces, and Travis Boman added five kills, nine digs, two aces and two blocks for Coronado, which got five kills from Karriem Beyah.

Brycen Ivester led Liberty with 15 assists.

Bonanza 3, Cimarron-Memorial 0 — At Bonanza, Joshua Lee had 32 assists and four aces, and Andrew Jensen added 15 kills and four digs to help the Bengals sweep the Spartans 25-4, 25-11, 25-16.

Kellen Layne had five kills, four digs and two aces, and Bronson Duckworth supplied four kills and four digs for Bonanza.

Nate Starlin had nine assists and six digs, and Dallas Cervantes recorded 11 digs and two kills for Cimarron, which also got five kills and two digs from Roy Gonzalez.

Centennial 3, Desert Oasis 0 — At Centennial, Chet Durkin tallied 27 assists and two aces, and Tanner Durkin provided eight kills and three aces as the Bulldogs downed the Diamondbacks, 25-16, 25-18, 25-6.

Nyjaee Washington had six kills, and Grant Nelson added four aces for Centennial.

Foothill 3, Del Sol 1 — At Del Sol, Taeg Williams had 43 assists, five digs and two aces in the Falcons’ 25-12, 21-25, 25-9, 25-11 win over the Dragons.

Ryan Briggs had 14 kills, five aces and five digs, and Trevor Robison added 10 kills, five digs and two aces for Foothill.

Clark 3, Desert Pines 0 — At Clark, Jose Sahagun dished out 13 assists, and Walt Benda spiked nine kills to help the Chargers defeat the Jaguars, 25-15, 25-12, 25-18.

Walter Regalado added 11 assists, and Henok Mucheye tallied four kills and two blocks for Clark, which got four kills from Daniel Diaz-Villa.

Tech 3, Western 0 — At Western, Joshua Wood supplied 18 assists and six kills to lead the Roadrunners to a 25-14, 25-5, 25-20 sweep of the Warriors.

Brandon Finley had six aces and five kills, and Tanner Gardenhire notched seven kills and four aces for Tech, which got five kills from Miguel Garcia.

Mojave 3, Sunrise Mountain 0 — At Mojave, Alex Carvalho had 12 kills and six digs to lead the Rattlers to a 25-7, 25-13, 25-17 sweep of the Miners.

Clayton Fontano supplied seven aces, six kills and four blocks, and Matt Albinio added eight kills and four aces for Mojave.

Chaparral 3, Cheyenne 0 — At Cheyenne, Pierce Morgan had four kills, eight assists, four aces and 11 digs as the Cowboys rolled to a 25-13, 25-19, 25-19 sweep of the Desert Shields.

Luis Munoz-Cardenas added four aces and nine digs, and Josiah Wagge had three kills, eight assists and four digs for Chaparral.

John Pacheco-Galindo had eight digs, and Dwight Foster added five blocks for Cheyenne.

Stearman’s sixth kill of the fifth set allowed the Falcons to complete a 20-25, 22-25, 25-20, 25-23, 15-11 comeback and advance to both Friday’s region final and next week’s state tournament.

Roundup: Kilmor Amor helps Spartans reach Mountain semifinals

Kilmor Amor had 15 kills, 23 assists and 10 digs Wednesday to help Cimarron-Memorial’s boys volleyball team down Shadow Ridge, 20-25, 25-18, 25-20, 25-19 in the quarterfinals of the Mountain Region Tournament at Palo Verde.
