VOLLEYBALL: Herman, Panthers complete perfect Northwest season

Stephanie Herman had 18 assists, and Lexi Riggs had eight kills and four aces Thursday as Palo Verde’s girls volleyball team completed a perfect Northwest League season with a 25-11, 25-23, 25-19 win over visiting Spring Valley.

McCall Phillips had six kills and 15 digs for the Panthers

Spring Valley’s Nicole Rafay had six kills, and Rachel Milam added five kills for the Grizzlies. Ahnamia Maranon added 11 assists, and teammate Hannah Karas had 14 digs for Spring Valley.

Coronado 3, Bonanza 0 — At Bonanza, Brooke Garlick had 11 kills, nine digs and two aces, and Berkeley Oblad added 10 kills, five blocks and two aces as the Cougars swept the Bengals, 25-14, 25-15, 25-20.

Taylor Jackson supplied eight kills, six blocks and two aces, and Cali Thompson had 35 assists, five aces and seven digs for Coronado.

Hailey Huntsman had 15 assists for Bonanza, and teammate Sammie Spelman added five kills and 12 digs.

Foothill 3, Liberty 0 — At Foothill, Nicolette White had 10 kills, and Rebecca Hill supplied nine kills as the Falcons topped the Patriots, 25-18, 25-10, 25-16.

Cailey Bean added 22 assists and seven digs for Foothill.

Reid Morgavi had 10 kills and nine digs to lead Liberty, and Nathalia Leilua added five kills for the Patriots.

Del Sol 3, Eldorado 0 — At Eldorado, Azhwalaee Oliver had nine kills, seven aces, four blocks and eight digs to help the Dragons defeat the Sundevils, 25-18, 25-13, 25-23.

Christina Lancaster added three kills, nine assists and four aces, and Taylor Curtis had six kills, six assists and two aces for Del Sol. Sierra Morales had 13 digs and three aces for the Dragons.

Angela Stoneback paced Eldorado with seven kills and seven digs. Monica Trillo had six kills and seven digs, and Ashley Spurgin contributed five kills for the Sundevils, who got 11 assists from Dakota Coombs.

Moapa Valley 3, Tech 0 — At Tech, Makenzie Bush had 12 kills to help the Pirates to a 25-8, 25-12, 25-8 victory over the Roadrunners.

Makendie Frei added five kills, and Emily Mills served five aces for Moapa Valley.

Haylee Holsclaw had three kills and three aces for Tech.

Boulder City 3, Chaparral 1 — At Chaparral, the Eagles finished a perfect Sunrise League season with a 25-15, 25-21, 25-27, 25-12 win over the Cowboys.

Chaparral’s Alejandra Macias had 12 assists and 11 digs, and Carminda Greenstone added six kills and six digs for the Cowboys, who got 14 digs from Abi Morales.

Sunrise Mountain 3, Virgin Valley 0 — At Mesquite, the Miners were 25-19, 27-25, 25-18 winners over the Bulldogs.
