Cimarron-Memorial’s Matthew Rodgers avenged three regular-season losses to Shadow Ridge’s Marc Williams by winning 3-1 in overtime in the 160-pound division, to help the Spartans win the region championship, 231-228½.
The Gators, who won eight consecutive Sunset Region titles, beat new rival and runner-up Spring Valley, 202-154½. Foothill was third at 132 points.

Gavin Beaman pinned his opponent in just seven seconds to win at 170 pounds and lead Arbor View’s wrestling team to a 45-28 road win over Palo Verde on Tuesday.
Shadow Ridge’s wrestling team recorded four pins in less than a minute Wednesday en route to a 62-12 road win over Arbor View.
