WRESTLING: Corona gets quick pin as Diamondbacks top Jaguars

Josh Corona needed just 22 seconds to pin his opponent in a 113-pound match Friday and help host Desert Oasis’ wrestling team to a 54-28 win over Desert Pines.

Joey Dinger (120), Ty Grega (132), Elisha Manago (138) and Ryan Knipp (195) also won by fall for the Diamondbacks.

Adalberto Santiago (170) and Jason Gonzalez (182) were winners by pin for the Jaguars.

Desert Oasis 48, Western 33 — At Desert Oasis, Alec Buenaventura recorded a pin in 53 seconds at 220 to help the Diamondbacks top the Warriors.

Dinger (120), Bishop Spaur (126), Manago (138) and Christian Montenegro (152) also won by pin for Desert Oasis.

Diego Ortega (106), Cordell Cook (132), Luis Lopez (145) and Dominique Boles (170) won by fall for Western.

Silverado 54, Desert Oasis 29 — At Desert Oasis, Timothy Murphy (160) and Justin Miller (285) each recorded a first-period pin as the Skyhawks downed the Diamondbacks.

Will Wright (106), R.J. Berdiago (113), Lawson Borla (132), Anthony Canedo (145), Jacob Summers (170), Anthony Viggiano (182) and Garrett Chanice each recorded a pin for Silverado.

Dinger (120), Manago (138), Montenegro (152) and Knipp (195) won by fall for Desert Oasis.
