1 person killed in Blue Diamond Road crash

Blue Diamond Road is closed in both directions while the Nevada Highway Patrol investigates a fatal head-on crash near Red Rock Canyon Road Sunday morning.

Troopers and medical crews were called about 10 a.m. to state Route 160, about 5 miles past state Route 159, NHP trooper Chelsea Stuenkel said.

Two vehicles crashed head on, killing one person, Stuenkel said.

Drivers are told to avoid the area.

It wasn‘t immediately clear if anyone else was injured.
