79-year-old inmate from Clark County dies in state prison

A 79-year-old inmate at the Northern Nevada Correctional Center died Thursday, Nevada Department of Corrections officials said.

Henry Foggy, who was from Clark County, died of a medical condition at the prison’s Regional Medical Facility in Carson City, officials said.

Foggy was serving a life sentence with the possibility of parole for first-degree murder with the use of deadly weapon enhancement. At the time he committed the murder, he had been prohibited from possessing a firearm for being an ex-felon. Foggy had been incarcerated in Nevada since 1996.

The Carson City coroner’s office will conduct an autopsy.
