Authorities rescue bull from backyard swimming pool

A bull that escaped a Texas ranch Tuesday and found its way into a backyard before falling into a swimming pool had to be rescued by firefighters and animal control.

According to News 4 San Antonio, the rescue took dozens of crew members.

The incident started with just a few cows getting loose from the ranch. While the owners of the ranch were trying to round up the cows, the bull got loose.

“It fell in the pool down here in the deep end and then they got it pulled over to the end and just kept its head above the water,” homeowner Dottie Bierschwale told News 4 San Antonio.

Emergency crews were able to pull the bull out of the pool and load it into a trailer to return it to its owner. However, Fox News 29 San Antonio stated that the livestock owner would receive multiple citations and possibly even a bill for the ordeal.
