Watson offered a simple explanation for the sweatshirt he was sporting during Friday’s game.
"I was cold," he said. "Our bus was kind of freezing, so I put it on to try to stay warm, and I stayed warm throughout the game, so it worked."
It was a homecoming of sorts for Watson, who played his high school ball at Bishop Gorman. This is also the third Summer League in Las Vegas that he has participated in, but the first in which he is coming off a season on an NBA team.
Watson played 32 games for the Warriors last season, so this is a different type of experience for him.
"My coaches have been telling me to play like a veteran," he said. "I kind of know what to expect now."
