KINGMAN, Ariz. — A pedestrian was killed when he was struck by a vehicle Tuesday in Bullhead City, Ariz.
Bullhead City police said Romero Lopez Ramirez, 49, of Lemon Grove, Calif., was dead at the scene of the 7:20 p.m. accident on State Route 95.
Ramirez was struck by a 2006 Jeep Rubicon when he tried to dash across the highway just north of Fifth Street, police spokeswoman Emily Montague said. She said that Ramirez had been drinking and that impairment might have been a factor.
The Jeep driver, 60-year-old Daniel Valdoni of California, was unhurt. He was not at fault and was not cited in the incident, Montague said.
