Harrison Malburg has achieved Eagle Scout status in the Boy Scouts of America.

A member of Troop 99, Malburg installed planter boxes at the Centennial Hills Active Adult Center and filled them with vegetables and herbs for his Eagle project.

He enjoys dirt biking, racing, working on his truck, working at Emerald Bay as a ranger, camping and hiking in his free time.

Malburg is the son of Clint and Stephanie Malburg of Las Vegas.

Jonathan Phillips has achieved Eagle Scout status in the Boy Scouts of America.

A member of Troop 245, Phillips painted curbs and trash cans at Paul Meyer Park for his Eagle project.

He enjoys programming computers, video games, swimming, golfing, movies and helping others in his free time.

Phillips is the son of Clayton and Cindy Phillips of Las Vegas.

Zachary Draper has achieved Eagle Scout status in the Boy Scouts of America.

A member of Troop 411, Draper constructed a finish line and built bike racks for the Promoting Health And Service Together charity triathlon for his Eagle project.

Draper is the son of Lance and Lori Draper of Henderson.

Zandria Diederich has graduated from Air Force basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland in San Antonio.

A 2010 graduate of Liberty High School in Henderson, Diederich is the daughter of Yatsubey Diaz-Serrano of Las Vegas and granddaughter of Geralyn Mascitelli of Henderson.

Richard Shank has graduated from Air Force basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland in San Antonio.

A 2011 graduate of Centennial High School, Shank is the son of Linda Bower, grandson of Vicki Duran, both of Las Vegas.

Joseph Calalo has graduated from Air Force basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland in San Antonio.

Calalo is the son of Nazareth Calalo of Las Vegas.

Cortney Jordan of Henderson has graduated magna cum laude with university honors with a Bachelor of Arts degree in liberal studies from California Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks, Calif.

Travis Simmons has graduated from Army basic combat training at Fort Jackson in Columbia, S.C.

A 2012 graduate of Nevada Virtual Academy, Simmons is the son of Timothy Simmons of Gardnerville and Jodi Packe of Las Vegas.

John Funk of Las Vegas has been named to the dean’s list at Rider University in Lawrenceville, N.J., for the spring 2013 semester.

Funk is a senior majoring in secondary education.

Aracelis Caceres has graduated from Army basic combat training at Fort Jackson in Columbia, S.C.

Caceres is the daughter of Matthew Caceres and Rosie Behn, both of North Las Vegas.

Nina Kuzniak of Las Vegas has graduated cum laude with university honors with a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science and global studies from California Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks, Calif.

Sierra Curry has graduated from Army basic combat training at Fort Jackson in Columbia, S.C.

Curry is the daughter of Tracey Curry of Knightdale, N.C., and Ricky Curry of Las Vegas.
