First iPad commercial runs during Oscars

In case you missed it, here’s a link to one of the most captivating short films featured during the telecast of the Academy Awards Sunday evening. I’ve watched it four times, and will be spreading the word and looking for more in the weeks ahead. No, it’s not a preview from an Oscar-winning flick. It’s the first glimpse of the Apple iPad, which is scheduled to make its appearance on April 3:

After seeing the many ways the device is used, I think the iPad is going to be a real game-changer. The way people get their entertainment, news and information is about to change. Mouse clicks and browsers will be replaced by finger touches, swipes and pinches. The already non-linear World Wide Web will become even more spontaneous, with new ways to dive into content.

Yes, the iPad is getting a lot of hype. There will be more. Lots more. Bring it on.

Then, bring on the real thing! Stay tuned for detail on when to start lining up for yours.
