Harry’s fans not wild about critics

Prince Harry supporters are rushing to his defense after his Full Monty adventure in Las Vegas. They’ve got his back, no ifs, ands or bare butts about it.

In a blistering email to the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce on Wednesday, a female admirer of the prince emphatically suggested Las Vegas issue an apology for allowing his nude photos to surface.’s photos of Prince Harry playing strip billiards in a suite at Wynn Las Vegas on Friday went viral after the celebrity website posted them Tuesday.

The angry emailer launched her rant by taking issue with the popular decade-old marketing slogan, "What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas."

That, she said, "obviously does not apply to this young man.

"Too bad. I would call that false advertising. Wouldn’t you?"

She added, "Perhaps all your visitors should be subjected to the same sort of treatment and I think your tourism business would disappear very quickly."

Continuing, she wrote: "I believe you owe him an apology especially since he was there on his own time and in his own private suite.

"I doubt he or any of his friends and supporters will ever visit your city again, I know I won’t."

Royal biographer Ingrid Seward, editor-in-chief of the British magazine Majesty, suggested everyone cut Prince Harry some slack.

"Nobody goes to Vegas for a holiday – they go there to have a good time," Seward told People magazine.

"And he sure knows how to have a good time. I think that’s what people love about Harry."

Supporting Seward’s Las Vegas theory was a report that a UK travel site, Virgin Holidays, was experiencing the "Prince Harry effect" from all the publicity.

The report said inquiries about Las Vegas holidays are up 30 percent compared to the same time a year ago, with Las Vegas the most visited page on the website this week.

Full disclosure: Some of information was provided by chamber spokeswoman Cara Roberts, my fiancée, who, I’m sure, would have advised Harry to keep his knickers on.
